Hi, I'm Matt...

I am a Producer/Audio Engineer/Musician working with bands and artists.  I Record, Mix, and Master in order to bring your vision to life. 

On the surface, there might not seem to be much of a connection between songs like “Firecracker” by Ryan Adams, Big Star’s “The Ballad Of El Goodo,” Dylan’s “Queen Jane Approximately,” Radiohead’s “Planet Telex,” Pink Floyd’s “The Great Gig In The Sky,” or “Tumbling Dice” by the Rolling Stones.  But dig a little deeper and you’ll find that they are kindred spirits that are linked by the very things that make them perfect recordings. An essential part of bringing each musician’s vision into focus, those on the other side of the glass were able to capture it all in ways that elevated and honored the music.  It’s songs like those that first made me want to get behind the glass and work behind the scenes, and it’s what still inspires me to this day.    

I’ve been an audio engineer for the better part of a decade and currently split my time between State House Sessions, Sofar Sounds and client projects.  During the recording, mixing and mastering process, I will dissect a song piece by piece, taking it apart and putting it back together again like the engine in a car, because I believe that is the only way to capture an artist’s vision uncompromisingly and completely.
